About the Metta F combine
We are a collection of writers, artists, musicians, and creative thinkers loosely and sometimes indirectly connected to UC Riverside, and to the metafiction course designed by the writer/theorist Ben Stoltzfus. This class was subsequently taught intermittently by writers/teachers Stephanie Hammer and Dwight Yates and was imported to Pitzer College, and beyond. We are inspired by the work of Aimee Bender, George Saunders, Italo Calvino, Amelie Notomb, THE FALL, Ariel Pink, Leslie Hall, Erika Suderburg, and many others, and seek to bring together art makers of different types in one arena. Welcome and enjoy.
more about "meta" and "metta"
metta f plays on the Greek word "meta" which means "after," "beyond," and "with," as well as the Pali word "metta" which means loving kindness.
